I spent two days in the City of Saints, just enough to visit two of the very many shrines that the city is blessed with.
How did I get there? Here are some pictures taken from the plane and at Karachi and then Multan airports.
Welcome to Karachi Airport
Flight to Multan delayed 😦
Khuda Hafiz Karachi sunshine
some desserty area on the way from Karachi to Multan.
Don’t know why the ketchup was frozen and what it was good for anyway. Just glad I had a Mc meal while waiting for the delayed flight. (Don’t do it often but when you have an upset stomach the reliable everywhere-in-the-world-the-same-food can be a heaven sent.
I did enjoy seeing the green patches after 10 days desert climate in Karachi where the only green I saw was on the Pakistan flag in front of Jinnah’s house.
six million inhabitants (in 1998, so probably a few more by now)
Welcome to Multan airport
This place is freezing!
This is the tiniest airport hall ever.
Parking lot in front of the airport. That’s where the adventure of Punjab begins.
Actually I have come to the conclusion that the ISI person who questioned my friend’s cousin about me and asked for a photocopy of my passport was likely not real and probably just wanted money.
