T2F is the place to be in Karachi. It’s an event’s space that also houses a small book shop and a cafe. Their salads are absolutely delicious and if you bring along a small person who picks out all your olives, they are happy to provide a portion free of charge for her. Be careful with the ice-coffee though. It’s mazedar (tasty) but three glasses will definitely put you into a state where you will lose all inhibitions and spontaneously perform at their monthly open mic night. There are plenty of horizon widening events going on all the time. If you’re not careful you might end up spending your whole holiday in T2F and miss out on everything there is to see in the rest of the city. Even when there is no event going on you can pop into T2F, open your laptop and stare into your screen if you’re shy or otherwise swap a story, play a game of chess or ludo, share an idea, read, or blow your own trumpet (or any other instrument you might bring along). They also have conference rooms and quiet studios to rent. But the most amazing thing you will find in the bathroom and I am not telling you here what it is. It was my greatest luck that I only found out about T2F a week before I left, as otherwise I would not have seen much else of Karachi.
